Music education major presents concert
For immediate release: Oct. 25, 2010
BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania student Michael Adams will present a senior vocal recital Saturday, Oct. 30, at 2:30 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 345 Market St., Bloomsburg. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will include pieces by Mozart, Handel and Bach. Making guest appearances are Chan Kim, cellist; Jenna Hyatt, soprano; Jennifer Stahley, soprano; Albert Bernath, trumpet; and the BU Chamber Singers. Adams began preparing these pieces in his sophomore year at BU.
“I have been working fastidiously for the past three years on this difficult repertoire and feel confident that my hard work will pay off,” said Adams, a music education major from Sinking Spring. “Though the thought of singing solo works for over an hour is daunting, I feel as though I have been prepared to do so by some of the best faculty around.”
