BLOOMSBURG — Felix Kaputu from the Democratic Republic of the Congo will present, “HIV-AIDS, Poverty and Faith in Sub-Saharan Africa: the Case of Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo” as this year’s International Faculty Association scholar speaker at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

The lecture will take place Wednesday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in Carver Hall, Kenneth S. Gross Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Kaputu is a professor of comparative literature at Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he teaches courses in African literature, art, religion, culture and politics. His publications include “Twenty-first Century Sub-Saharan African Women in a World of HIV-AIDS: The Deadly Pandemic.” He earned bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from University of Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
