BLOOMSBURG—Artistic creations in wearable art and theatre makeup designed by Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania students will be exhibited on Tuesday, May 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Kehr Union Ballroom. The second annual Personal Adornment Day and Theatre Makeup Extraordinaire will feature wearable art, edible art and theatre makeup designed by students in several BU courses. The show is open to the public free of charge.

The show will spotlight a sculpture garden and mixed media art work as well as a fashion show of wearable art. Works in the fashion show will be judged by Meredith Grimsley, Karl Beamer and Karen Anselm, all professors at Bloomsburg University, and by guest juror Susan Simpson.

Students from Grimsley’s mixed media course, Beamer’s 3D design course, and Anselm’s theatre makeup course will display their work at the show. “We have everything from more traditional couture to found fabrics, and everything from serious social commentary to fun and humorous works,” according to Grimsley.
