Author Tawni O’Dell to speak at BU

BLOOMSBURG—A New York Times best-selling author will share her stories on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m. in Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Kehr Union, Hideaway. The presentation, part of the Big Dog Reading Series, is open to the public free of charge.

Tawni O’Dell is the author of two novels, “Back Roads” and “Coal Run.” “Back Roads,” a New York Times bestseller, is listed as an Oprah’s Book Club selection.

Born and raised in Indiana, Pa., O’Dell often writes about characters and landscapes of small-town Pennsylvania. Her next novel, “Sister Mine,” will be published in spring 2007.

Funding for this year’s Big Dog Reading Series comes from the BU English department, College of Liberal Arts and the Chancellor’s Office of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
