Congratulations on your admission to Bloomsburg University! We are so excited to have you on campus as the newest members of the Husky family!

In order to ease your transition to BU, the New Student Orientation Office offers a fun and informative Spring Start Orientation experience catered to your unique needs. Spring Start will take place on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016.

Parents/Guardians are welcome, and encouraged to attend! Orientation is required for new transfer students. It is important you attend orientation in order to begin your academic career as prepared as possible, especially since policies and expectations vary greatly University to University.

Although you may feel prepared based on your past academic experiences, we want you to fully understand what it means to be a Bloomsburg Husky, and that is something you can only learn by attending Spring Start orientation! Please note: your required $95 orientation fee will be included in your spring billing statement.

In preparation for TRANSFERmation, please reach out to our many TRANSFERmation assistants by emailing TRANSFERmation Assistants are current BU transfer students who tried the rest, and transferred to the best! They are excited to welcome you to BU and will be facilitating your entire TRANSFERmation experience on Jan. 15.

Tentative Schedule

  • 10 to 10:45 a.m. Optional Campus Tour (Departing from Carver Hall on Penn St.)
  • 11 a.m. to noon Advisor Appointments (check your BU email for location)
  • Noon to 12:50 p.m. Optional Lunch (Check your BU email for a complimentary lunch ticket)
  • 12:30 to 1:25 p.m. Spring Start Orientation Check In - Kehr Union Ballroom Lobby
  • 12:30 to 1:25 p.m. Student ID Photos - Kehr Union Ballroom lobby
  • 1:30 to 1:45 p.m. Welcome! Kehr Union Ballroom 1
  • 1:50 to 2:20 p.m. My College and Me Deans' Overview
  • 2:30 to 3:10 p.m. Spring Transition for Students Workshop
  • 2:30 to 3:10 p.m. Spring Transition for Family Workshop
  • 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Husky Standards and Expectations
  • 4:30 to 5 p.m. ID Distribution and Prizes
