There are many factors that may hinder a student's performance during their college career. Despite those factors, it is important for our students to stay healthy through exercise and diet and by visiting the Student Health Center when needed.
The Student Health Center is located in the Kehr Union Room 324, and is open Monday through Friday from 8am-6pm during the fall and spring semesters and is open from 8am-4pm during the summer. The Health Center is closed during weekends. During semester breaks, the Health Center is open for Administrative Purposes only; there are no appointments or health care services available during these times.
You will find good basic health care through the center. Please note: the University strongly recommends that you have health insurance, and will not be responsible for any medical costs you may incur if you visit a hospital or specialist. The University does not provide health insurance to students; however, you can inquire about a lower cost policy through an outside insurance carrier. Learn more about the services provided, the staff, insurance options and how to make an appointment.
Depending on a student's health or needs, you may need to visit the local Bloomsburg Hospital (please check with your insurance company to ensure services will be covered; the University will not be held responsible for these costs). The hospital is located in front of the University off of Lightstreet Road. Learn more about their services at http://www.bloomhealth.net or by clicking on the information card (.
