Valerie Matrese, OWL student assistant

Valerie Matrese

I am a Senior, Speech Pathology & Audiology major from Harrisburg, PA. In addition to the OWLs I am a member of the National Student Speech-Hearing-Language Association, the CGA senate, the Community Government Association, and a member of Alpha Phi Omega; the co-ed service fraternity here at BU. I work with the graduate intern and student intern, organize the OWLs and OWL meetings, and oversee everything going on in the organization. I work in the Orientation office year-round and as an OWL!

Lauren Creasy, president

Lauren Creasy

I am a Mass Communications: Public Relations major from Collegeville, PA. Since freshman year I have been an OWL, in the Community Government Association, an admissions office tour guide, and play on the Ultimate Frisbee team. Coming to Bloomsburg University was the absolute best decision of my life and is my home away from home. Along with that wonderful decision, was joining the OWLs where I have made some of my best friends and shared countless memories in the organization. Being an OWL has taught me who I want to be, and what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Ben Meck, vice president

Ben Meck

I am a Junior accounting major, going for a concentration in fraud examination, and a minor in German. I love Bloomsburg because of the great academic programs, the great people I've met, the view every time I look outside, and how great my butt looks after walking up and down this hill for two years. I love the OWLs because we are a great organization. All the members are amazing. The job is also a perk. I love helping people, and, on top of that, it's a paid position! I wouldn't trade this group for anything in the world.

Lauren Byers, recording secretary

Lauren Byers

My name is Lauren Byers and I am a senior in the Special Education/Early Childhood major. I am involved in many organizations on campus, which I believe have helped to make my college experience at Bloomsburg more successful. I am currently the secretary for OWLS and involved in various other clubs such being a mentor in the P.A.S.S. program through the Dean of Students Office, a member of Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society, Best Buddies, and I am also a big sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. Choosing to attend Bloomsburg University is one of the best decisions I have ever made and I hope this university can make as powerful of an impact for you as it has for me.

Andrew Bentivenga, treasurer

Andrew Bentivegna

I am a double major in Accounting and Business Economics from Shoreham, New York. In addition to being the Treasurer of OWLs, I am also the president of the Men's Volleyball Club and a board member on Bloomsburg's Student Concert Committee. Hands-down, OWLs is the best organization I have joined. I enjoy welcoming new students to Bloomsburg and watching the mature and be all they can be and Bloomsburg.

Bryan Molk

Hello! I am a Senior, Anthropology major with a minor in Gender and Women's Studies. I am the Historian for OWLs, the best organization ever, which means I will be taking pictures of all of you. I serve on the executive board for the Community Government Association as Senate Representative and hold the position of Vice President for the Bloomsburg Student Concert Committee. I experienced the most amazing study abroad in Africa during my sophomore year, traveling around Cameroon and Ethiopia. I love Bloomsburg.
