Spring 2010 Vehicle Registration

All motor vehicles must be registered with the University Police Department. Parking decals are issued at the beginning of the semester. The decals must be properly displayed on the vehicle according to the University Parking Regulations.

Before the semester begins, all students will need to register their vehicles online via STINF. To register online, go to the STINF homepage, click on the “Parking Decal” tab, and follow the instructions. You will find below when STINF is available to register for a spring parking decal. This process must be completed in order to obtain a decal. After registering online, commuter student must report to their designated areas to pick up their decals for the spring. Please check the schedule below.

All Resident Students:

All students residing at MOA, MPA, JKA, Kile’s Penn Street Apartments, must pick up their decal on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Jessica Kozloff Apartment Complex (community building). You may register on STINF beginning December 4, 2009.

All resident dorm students must pick up their decals on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM or Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Silver and Orange decals will be offered on a first come first serve basis for eligible students with 24 or more credits beginning at 9:00 AM on December 9. After the silver (Welsh Circle Lot and Water Tank Lot) and orange parking lots have been filled, the remainder of the students will receive blue decals. However, if there are still spaces available in the blue lot, students with silver and orange decals will be asked to return to the blue lot. Blue decals will be issued.

All Eligible Commuter Students:

Commuter students with 60 or more credit hours, whose last name begins with A-K, will pick up their black decals on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Commuter students with 60 or more credit hours, whose last name begins with L-Z, will pick up their black decals on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Commuter students with 59 or less credit hours will pick up their purple decals on Thursday, January 21, 2010 between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm or Friday, January 22, 2010 between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.

You may register on STINF beginning December 23, 2009.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you do not have a valid decal from last semester, you must park in the Stadium, Orange Lot, Tennis or Softball Lots, located on upper campus, until you receive your decal. Ticketing in commuter areas will begin January 22, 2010 at 2:00 am.

At the end of the Fall 2009 semester, please do not remove the decal on your vehicle until you receive your spring decal for the Spring 2010 semester on your designated day. Black decals are valid until January 20, 2010 and purple decals are valid until January 21, 2010. At the onset of the spring semester, you must park your vehicle in the same designated lot where you parked in the fall until you pick up your Spring 2010 decal. Your fall decal will be void after your designated date to pick up your Spring 2010 decal.

If your academic credit status will be changing to 60 academic credits or more, you can pick up your vehicle on your assigned day for a spring 2010 semester black parking decal. However, until you receive your black decal, you must park in the purple decal designated areas permitted for your Fall 2009 semester purple decal. We will be ticketing all designated parking areas starting on the first day of the Spring 2010 semester, Monday, January 18, 2010 at 2:00 am.

Students eligible to obtain a campus parking decal must present the vehicle registration card (owner’s card) and driver’s license at the time of registration. Any commuter students who are not permanent residents of Bloomsburg must show some form of acceptable identification with name and current local address. Examples are: original lease, utility bill, etc.

Note fee structure: Commuter $37.00 Residence $75.00

Four Reminders:

1. If you should purchase a new vehicle or change vehicles during the semester, you must remove your old decal and return it to University Police in order to obtain a new decal.

2. The price of a ticket is $15.00 and can accumulate hourly. Also, three unpaid parking tickets, with one ticket exceeding an issue date of 20 or more days, will result in your vehicle being booted. There I s a $25.00 boot removal fee.

3. Decals are not transferable between cars or operators.

4. Remove all outdated parking decals from your vehicle.
