Biology

LCCC Major -- General StudiesBU Major -- Biology (B.S.) Biotechnology Option

The B.S. program in Biology provides a rigorous background in biology (39 credit hours), chemistry (20 credit hours), physics (8 credit hours) and mathematics (6 credit hours). The program meets the needs of students who plan to enter graduate or professional school in the natural sciences and of those seeking employment in the private sector and government agencies.

Students pursuing a B.S. may elect an option in biotechnology. The core requirements are the same as for the general B.S. program, but appropriate additional course work is also required.
