Student Information System

The Student Information System (more commonly known as STINF) is the tool that students use for scheduling and registration purposes. It also gives them access a variety of information that pertains to General Information, Academic Information and Miscellaneous Information.

Under the General Info section on STINF students will have access to:

Biographical Information

MyMail User ID and Password Information
BU email Address
Blackboard Login and Password Information

Admissions Information

Lists each semester student is on campus

Provides advisor's name

Provides cumulative credits earned

Housing information - allows students to see what permanent and local addresses the university has on file for them

Billing Information - provides students with a breakdown of fees per semester and their account balance.

Under the Academic Info section on STINF students will have access to:

Advisement information

Provides student with information and directions to CAPS (Curriculum, Advisement and Progress System)

Scheduling information

Provides students with Advisor's Name

Lists Program of Study Student is Enrolled In

Shows classes student is currently scheduled for

Tool used for scheduling classes for future semesters

Grade display

Displays mid term grades if applicable

Displays final semester grades

Locate previous semester grades

Faculty hours - find office hours for faculty members

Under Miscellaneous Info section on STINF students will have access to:

Meal/flex plan

Provides information on choices of Meal Plans
Provides Meal Plan/Flex Account Balance

Pin number change - change your STINF pin

Registration - Students are requested to register each semester through a process called EREG. This is the place in which to they complete this process.

How do you receive your Student Information System (STINF) login and password?

The Admissions Office will provide this information in your Fee Acceptance Letter.
