Career Development Center

Day Care for Children

Students with children are eligible for use of the Campus Child Center/Kampus Kids Preschool. The center accepts children ages six months to 12 years. Fees vary depending on service. The Center for Counseling and Human Development

DAWN (Drug and Alcohol Awareness Network

Provides programs designed to help students make informed decisions about risky behaviors, particularly those associate with drug and alcohol use. Location: 240 Warren Student Services Center, (570) 389-4980. Director: Barry Jackson.

Financial Aid

Office of Multicultural Affairs

The primary purpose of the Multicultural Center is to increase multicultural understanding and awareness at Bloomsburg University. The Center provides an additional forum for the total education of Bloomsburg University's campus community. It sponsors/co-sponsors programs and activities that focus on the contributions of those individuals who represent diverse cultures at Bloomsburg. SOLVE

The SOLVE Office promotes service to others, experiential education, and part-time employment to stimulate professional development, civic engagement and personal growth in Bloomsburg University students. SOLVE serves as a clearinghouse for a multi-county community by connecting employers/service providers with student employees/volunteers. Opportunities include: off-campus work study positions; part-time jobs in the local community; volunteer placements to meet community needs; mentoring/tutoring programs in area schools and the Migrant Community Project. Student Health Center

Staffed by registered nurses, nurse practioners and part-time physicians, the Health Center offers the facilities for a variety of health exams, tests and screenings. Professional services and over-the-counter medical supplies used in the center are covered by the Health Center fee. Student Recreation Center

Located on Swisher Circle, Student Recreation Center has five major activity areas: multi-use courts (basketball, volleyball and tennis), fitness room, weight room, racquetball courts and multipurpose room. Director: Jen White. Rec center website

Quest

Modeled on the international Outward Bound program, Quest provides students with opportunities for outdoor adventure. Weekend courses in areas such as rock climbing and kayaking are offered, as well as extended trips to wildness areas of the United States and other countries.
