Examining the truth in history

As a self-proclaimed book worm, it’s fitting Hannah Jones is pursuing a future in creative writing that she is molding at Bloomsburg University.
Jones, an honors student who is also majoring in history, capped her junior year researching how Joan of Arc has been portrayed throughout history. As a result, she discovered how inaccurate one-dimensional portrayals can be and concluded popular culture often defines how we view people.
Her extensive research, which included a deep look into the trial of Joan of Arc (1431), was also selected to be presented at the Phi Alpha Theta Biennial Convention in San Diego earlier this past academic year.
Outside of research, Jones lends her creative writing skills to Warren, a BU student-written and produced art journal that is published each spring semester. She also serves as a co-editor and helps with production.
