Ryan Wyland Named PSAC East Baseball Player of the Week
BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University baseball player Ryan Wyland (Williamsport/Loyalsock Twp.) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week for the period ending March 27th.
Wyland, who can play several different positions, went 3-6 in a twinbill against Lock Haven on Saturday helping the Huskies to two wins. In the opener, he drove in a run with a double to give Bloomsburg a 2-1 win, while in the nightcap he accounted for two of the team's four hits and scored a run in a 3-2 victory.
For the year, Wyland is second on the team in batting with a mark of .405 (15-37) with five RBI and five runs scored. He has also posted a mark of 2-0 as a relief pitcher with a team-best 0.96 ERA in five appearances covering 9.1 innings.
Bloomsburg, 6-11, will host Mansfield on Friday in a twinbill at 1 p.m..
