Vinnie James Named Player of the Week

BLOOMSBURG--Bloomsburg University baseball player Vinnie James (Bristol/Bristol) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week for the period ending April 15th.

James, a senior catcher, hit .500 in a 3-3 week for Bloomsburg, getting 11 hits in 22 at-bats. His top performance came in a 13-2 win over Mansfield when he went 4-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI. For the week he totaled three home runs, eight runs and eight RBI.

For the year, James leads the Huskies in hitting at .438, in home runs with five; runs batted with 31; doubles with 10, hits with 51 and slugging percentage with a mark of .684. He is also second in runs scored with 25.

Bloomsburg is 12-21 overall, 5-7 in the PSAC Eastern Division.
