Attention Baseball Walk-ons

A mandatory meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27 in the Nelson Field House room 255. In order to try out for the team you must attend this meeting. Bring a pen or pencil, a copy of your class schedule and your medical insurance card (or copy of).

TRYOUT SCHEDULE

Tuesday, September 2

Walk-on pitchers and catchers are to report to Litwhiler field at 3:00 pm. A pitching order will be posted inside each dugout. Each pitcher should prepare for a 15-20 pitch bullpen at their designated time. At 4:00 pm All position players report and stretch on your own. We will run a 60 at 4:10. After we run, throw on your own at the field (in the outfield). We will run a professional style defensive workout and then hit batting practice on the field. We will post a list Tuesday night on the back doors of the NFH. The players on that list should meet with Coach Collins the following day and be available for physicals at 6:30 pm, Thursday, September 4 in Nelson 255. If you have classes that conflict with these times alternate arrangements can be made at the meeting on Wednesday the 27th.
