Vinnie James, former Bloomsburg University standout, has been added to the Huskies coaching staff for the 2007-08 year. James will coach catchers, assist with the development of the offense as well as perform off-campus recruiting duties.

As a senior in 2007, James was named first team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division in 2007 after setting career highs in several offensive categories. James ranked third in the PSAC in batting, (.413), second in home runs (7), second in hits (64) and second in total bases (101). He also finished with a team-leading 12 doubles,40 RBI, and a .656 slugging percentage. During the week ending April 16, James was named PSAC East Player of the Week after batting .500 (11-22) with three home runs, eight RBI and eight runs scored. James finished his career at Bloomsburg with a .348 average, 10 home runs, and 94 RBI. His 94 RBI and 152 career hits each ranked 10th all-time in school history.
