Bloomsburg Women's Soccer Loses to East Stroudsburg
BLOOMSBURG — The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team's attempt to comeback from a 2-0 deficit fell just short as they lost to East Stroudsburg in a PSAC East match up on Tuesday afternoon.
The Huskies fell behind 2-0 in the first half when mid-fielders Ashley Becker and Janel Cleffi each scored unassisted goals for East Stroudsburg. Despite several scoring opportunities, Bloomsburg was unable to get a shot past East Stroudsburg goalie Samantha Marina until the 83rd minute when Katie Armitage (Saylorsburg/ Stroudsburg) set up Brittany McKew (Baltimore, MD/ Perry Hall) for Bloomsburg's first goal. The Huskies then managed to get off several shots in the last six minutes but could not tie the score.
Bloomsburg falls to 5-5-4, 2-3-3 in the PSAC East. They will travel to Kutztown on Saturday at 2 p.m.
