Bloomsburg Women's Soccer Falls to Millersville
MILLERSVILLE —The Bloomsburg women's soccer team dropped a hard fought match to Millersville on Saturday afternoon by a score of 3-1.
The Huskies fell behind early when Millersville's Carly Kabbeko scored on an assist from Vanessa Robtison just eight minutes into the fist half. Bloomsburg managed to tie the score at one when Christine Mongelli ( South River, NJ/ South River) scored on an unassisted goal at the 70:53 mark.
Millersville then answered right back, getting goals from Melissa Cameron and Cassandra McLaughlin to take a 3-1 lead late into the second half. Millersville goalie Karrine Riggins had four saves to preserve the win. Bloomsburg goalie Robin Gerber (Succcasunna, NJ/ Roxbury) had seven saves.
The Huskies return to action tomorrow as they host Slippery Rock at 2 p.m.
