Bloomsburg Falls to Slippery Rock in Women's Soccer

BLOOMSBURG— The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team dropped a PSAC game, 3-2 to Slippery Rock on Sunday. With the loss, the Huskies move to 4-4-4 on the season, 2-2-2 in the PSAC.

The Huskies scored the first goal of the game when Alex Totino (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Sachem North) scored, knocking the ball in off a low shot in the corner. Slippery Rock answered with two goals, taking a 2-1 lead at halftime.

In the second, Michelle Carmosky (Harleysville/Souderton) tied the game with a goal off an Ashley Brucker (Blairstown, NJ/North Warren) assist five minutes into the second half.

With less than 17 minutes remaining in the game, The Rock got its game winning goal on a breakaway when Meghan McGrath got her second goal of the game, shooting the ball past Bloomsburg goalie Brittany Moses (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen). The Huskies got a corner close to the end of the game, but were unable to capitalize off of any scoring opportunities.

The Huskies will be back in action on Thursday at Philadelphia University.
