Henry Named PSAC East Offensive Player of the Week

Arrastene Henry

BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University tailback Arrastene Henry (Philadelphia/Geo. Washington) was named the PSAC Eastern Division Offensive Player of the Week after rushing 30 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns against Lock Haven University Saturday night. The Huskies beat the Bald Eagles, 34-24.

Henry, seeing his first action of the year after missing the opener with an injury, came into the game in the second period after starter Marques Glaze (Robesonia/Conrad Weiser) went down with an injury of his own. Henry then proceeded to take nearly every one of the handoffs for the remainder of the game.

At the start of the second half, Henry set up his first score with a 41-yard run to the Lock Haven one-yard line. Then, later in the third period, he carried 11 times (on a 14-play drive) for 31 yards and scored another one-yard touchdown.

The 195 yards gained by Henry were three shy of his career-high 198 yards against Edinboro his freshman year. His rushing total was also the 10th time in his career that he has gained 100 or more yards in a game.

Bloomsburg, 2-0, will visit Cheyney University Saturday at 1 p.m.
