Bloomsburg Football Moves Up In Coaches PollBLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University football team moved up to the ninth spot in this week's American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' poll. The AFCA poll, voted on by coaches in Division II, moved the Huskies up to ninth from their previous 10th place ranking. Bloomsburg is now the highest ranked Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) team in the poll, with Indiana (Pa.) dropping from the No. 7 spot to No. 22 with a loss to Findlay (Ohio) 37-34 last week. Grand Valley State, which defeated the Huskies in the first round of the 2001 NCAA playoffs, retained the top spot in the poll and will open its season this week against number seven UC Davis. Bloomsburg, which finished last season with a record 9-2 and ranked 12th in the country, will open up their season September 7 at 22nd ranked Indiana (PA).
