Bloomsburg Football Moves Up In Coaches Poll
BLOOMSBURG-The Bloomsburg University football team moved up one spot in the ranking to No. 23 in this week's American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' poll.
The Huskies, 1-1, narrowly defeated Shippensburg 27-26 on Saturday to get their first win of the season.
Grand Valley State, which defeated the Huskies in the first round of the 2001 NCAA playoffs, retained the top spot in the poll as they were idle.
Mike Ceroli (Medford, NJ/Lenape) leads Bloomsburg in rushing with 99 yards on 26 carries and Andrew Herrmann (Brookside/Mendham) leads the team in passing, going 22-for-55 for 311 yards and four touchdowns.
The Huskies will host Lock Haven September 21 at 1 p.m.
