Bloomsburg Football Moves Up Three Spots In Coaches Poll

BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University football team moved up three spots in the ranking to No. 20 in this week's American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' poll.

The Huskies, 2-1, defeated Lock Haven 47-23 on Saturday to get their second win of the season.

Grand Valley State, which defeated the Huskies in the first round of the 2001 NCAA playoffs, retained the top spot in the poll as they defeated Wayne St. 49-14.

Mike Ceroli (Medford, NJ/Lenape) leads Bloomsburg in rushing with 184 yards on 38 carries and Andrew Herrmann (Brookside, NJ/Mendham) leads the team in passing, going 39-for-76 for 591 yards and seven touchdowns. On defense Shawn Butler (Newton /Council Rock) leads the team in tackles with 30.

The Huskies will host Slippery Rock, Saturday at 1 p.m.
