After a scoreless first period, the Huskies (1-2) took the lead on a 22-yard field goal from Garrett Bloom with 6:39 to play in the second period. The score capped a nine-play, 46-yard drive.

In the third period, the Huskies' Mike Ceroli went 77-yards on the first play from scrimmage and was tackled at the Bald Eagle three-yard line. However, the drive stalled and the Huskies had to settle for a 23-yard field goal from Bloom to make it a 6-0 game with 13:42 to play in the third period.

On Lock Haven's ensuing drive, quarterback Troy Wile was intercepted by Eric Steffen. After moving the ball to the Lock Haven 16-yard line, Bloomsburg's drive stalled again and Bloom connected on a career-long 39 yard field goal to the Huskies a 9-0 lead with 9:10 to play in the thirtd.

Later in the third, Lock Haven got untracked after Chelstan Anderson was inserted at tailback. Anderson then carried six times for 33 yards of nine-play, 72 yard drive and scored on a one-yard touchdown run to make it a 9-7 game with 1:35 to play in the third.

Bloomsburg's next drive ended after quarterback Jacky Lydic was intercepted by Brian Lumpkin at the Huskies' 38-yard line. After an Anderson run to the 30-yard line, Wile connected with Rafael Smith on a 30-yard scoring pass on the first play of the fourth period to give Lock Haven a 14-9 lead with 14:55 to play in the game.

Later in the period, Lock Haven made it an eight-point game when Dan Hagerman connected on a 22-yard field goal giving the home team a 17-9 lead with 1:55 to play.

Needing a big play to get back in the game, the Huskies got it when Lydic hit Nick Kurtz with a 62-yard scoring strike with 1:13 to play in the game. However, the two-point conversion pass was knocked down in the endzone dashing any hopes to send the game into overtime.

Bloomsburg held the statistical edge in the game gaining 396 yards of offense to 262 for Lock Haven. The Bald Eagles, though, held the advantage in time of possession, 35:44 to 24:16.
