Brittingham Earns PSAC East Player of the Week Honors

BLOOMSBURG— Sophomore running back Jamar Brittingham (Levittown/ Neshaminy) earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division (PSAC) Player of the Week honors for the second time this season for his performance last Saturday.

Brittingham turned in another big day in limited action leading the Huskies to an easy 63-0 victory over Lock Haven on Saturday night. Brittingham rushed for 119 yards on just seven carries and scored three more touchdowns to give him 12 on the year.

Going into last weekend Brittingham led all of NCAA Division II in scoring; was third in all purpose yards; and fourth in rushing yards. For his career he has 1,638 yards rushing and 27 touchdowns in just 14 games. He is ninth all-time in school history in rushing and is just 57 yards shy of taking over eighth. As a freshman he gained 991 yards and had 16 TDs.

Brittingham and the Huskies travel to Indiana University (PA) this Saturday, starting at 1 p.m.
