Brittingham Wins PSAC Award—Again
BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University tailback Jamar Brittingham (Levittown/Neshaminy) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Offensive Player of the Week for his play in a win over East Stroudsburg last Saturday. The honor was the third straight and fourth time in six weeks that Brittingham has won the award.
Brittingham rushed 33 times for an even 200 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead the Huskies to a 31-24 victory over East Stroudsburg in a battle of unbeaten teams.
The sophomore tailback, who went over the 1,000 yard mark for the season during the game, scored on runs of 5, 12 and 3 yards in the first half, then scored the game winning touchdown on a 5-yard run in overtime.
For the season, Brittingham has rushed for 1,093 yards and scored 18 touchdowns.
The Huskies, 6-0, will host Kutztown on Saturday in a Parent's Day match-up starting at 1:30 p.m.
