Waddy Named PSAC East Defensive Player of the Week

BLOOMSBURG - Bloomsburg University junior defensive back Marcus Waddy (Philadelphia/ Frankford) has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Football Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending September 17th.

Waddy was instrumental in the Huskies come from behind, 28-10, victory over Edinboro on Saturday. Trailing 10-7 with Edinboro threatening on the Bloomsburg 27-yard line, Waddy sacked the quarterback and forced a fumble allowing Bloomsburg to regain possession. Later in the game, he set up the Huskies final score when he returned a lateral on an interception 20 yards to the Edinboro six-yard line. Waddy also finished the day with six tackles, five of them solo.

In three games this season, Waddy has 12 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Waddy and the Huskies will host Clarion this Saturday at noon.
