Brittingham Named to All-Region Team

BLOOMSBURG -- Bloomsburg University running back Jamar Brittingham (Levittown/Neshaminy) has been named to the 2007 Daktronics Division II Football All-Northeast Region first team.

Brittingham, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Year, earned his second selection to the All-Region team in his career after receiving the honor in 2005. After several injuries riddled Brittingham in 2006, he was back to form this season, rushing for 1,493 yards (a 143.5 yards per game average) and 23 touchdowns. Brittingham also shattered several school and conference records throughout the course of the year. He is now the sole holder of 28 school and PSAC records and is the PSAC's all-time career leading rusher with 5,689 yards. Brittingham also ends his career 14th all-time on the NCAA Division II career rushing list.

Brittingham is also one of nine finalists for the Harlon Hill Trophy as the Division II Player of the Year. Brittingham finished third in the voting for the award in 2005.

Bloomsburg finished their 2007 season with a 7-3 overall record, 4-1 in the PSAC and ended the year with a five-game winning streak.
