Brittingham Named PSAC East Player of the Week


BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University tailback Jamar Britingham (Levittown/Neshaminy) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week for his performance against Millersville this past Saturday.

Brittingham rushed for a career-high 257 yards, scored four touchdowns and became Bloomsburg's all-time career rushing leader in helping the Huskies to a 42-28 win over Millersville. The senior scored on runs of 19, 1, 16 and 81 yards on the day. He now has 5,219 career rushing yards to move past Irv Sigler for the school's all-time career mark and past Sigler for second on the PSAC all-time career list. Brittingham is also now 18th on the NCAA D-II career rushing list. He also needs 429 yards over the next three games to surpass Wesley Cates of California as the all-time leading rusher in PSAC history.

This is the second time this season that Brittingham has been honored as the PSAC East Player of the Week and the sixth time in his career.

Bloomsburg, 4-3, will play at East Stroudsburg on Saturday at 2:10 p.m.
