Bloomsburg's Domzalski Selected PSAC East Offensive Player of the Week

BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University freshman running back Kenny Domzalski (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) has been selected the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Offensive Player of the Week for the week of August 31st.

In his first appearance in a Bloomsburg uniform, Domzalski, a redshirt freshman, ran for 172 on just 16 carries to help the Huskies score a come-from-behind upset win over No. 15 Ashland on the road. Domzalski averaged a staggering 10.8 yards per carry and also scored the game-winning touchdown on a 23-yard run with just 54 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, breaking a 42-42 tie to give Bloomsburg the 49-42 victory.

"Kenny is a hungry competitor who played a great game for us," stated Huskies coach Danny Hale. "The (Ashland) game was a game that was tailor made for his talents. He hit the holes hard and made some big plays in key moments."

Domzalski also had a 48-yard run in the game to help the Huskies overcome 21-0 and 35-14 deficits to post the comeback victory.

The Huskies are home this week to host California, (Pa.) in the newly-renovated Redman Stadium in Bloomsburg. Kick-off on Saturday is set for noon.
