Bloomsburg Football To Host Military Appreciation Day Oct. 11

BLOOMSBURG--Bloomsburg University will be holding Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, Oct. 11 when the Huskies football team hosts East Stroudsburg University at Redman Stadium in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division matchup . Kickoff is set for noon.

All men and women actively serving in the military as well as the families of active military personnel will be admitted to the game free of charge. In addition, Bloomsburg University will be collecting items for our troops serving oversees. Among the items that are needed are snacks (cookies, crackers, dry soup, cereal, etc), toiletries (shampoo, soap, tooth paste, sun block, tissues, etc), as well as phone cards, frisbees, board games, DVD movies. Redman Stadium gates will open at 10:30 a.m. and the game will be broadcast by Sports Fever TV and will air in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton/Bloomsburg area on FOX 56, WOLF-TV.
