Huskies Move Up in National Polls
BLOOMSBURG-The Bloomsburg University football team has moved up to No. 6 in both the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and D2Football.com top 25 polls with the victory over nationally-ranked Ashland last Thursday.
The Huskies (1-0) were ranked 13th in the AFCA and 11th in the D2Football.com preseason polls. Ashland was ranked 15th and 13th, respectively. With the loss, the Eagles have dropped to 23rd in both polls.
Bloomsburg will travel to California (PA) (0-1) on Saturday, September 5 to play the nationally-ranked Vulcans. They are currently ranked 17th in the AFCA poll and 18th by D2Football.com. The Vulcans are coming off of a 23-17 loss to Saginaw Valley State last Thursday.
