Bloomsburg Football Debuts at No. 1 in Regional Rankings

BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University football team is ranked number one in the first NCAA Division II Regional Football Poll of the 2009 season.

The poll, which determines playoff seeding in each region, was released on Monday with the Huskies and their 6-0 record in the top spot of Super Region One. Charleston (West Virginia), also undefeated, is ranked second. Fellow PSAC schools Edinboro (third), Slippery Rock (fourth), East Stroudsburg (fifth) and California (seventh) are also ranked in the top 10.

The Huskies travel to East Stroudsburg this Saturday to take on the Warriors at 2:30 p.m. The matchup will be the first of two Bloomsburg games broadcast on SPORTSfever.
