Huskies Fall to Indiana (PA)

INDIANA, PA—Terrance Wilson rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns and Aamir Dew rushed for 113 yards and two scores to lead Indiana (PA) to a 35-10 win over Bloomsburg University Saturday night.

Wilson got the Indians on the board first when he capped a two play, 51 yard drive with a 24-yard run to make it 7-0 with 9:01 left in the first. IUP made it 14-0 later in the period when Dew, a transfer from Pittsburgh, scored on a 23-yard run to cap a 13 play, 94 yard drive.

Bloomsburg, after missing a field goal early in the second period, got on the board with 4:55 left in the half. The Huskies drove 89 yards in 14 plays capped by a one-yard run from Marques Glaze. The Huskies were driving on their next possession when quarterback Eric Miller was intercepted by Quincy Tisdale who returned it 71 yards for a score making 21-7, IUP, at the break.

In the second half, the Huskies cut the lead to 21-10 on a 19-yard field goal from Tom Boop capping an eight play, 72 yard drive.

IUP then started to put the game out-of-reach when Wilson scored his second touchdown of the game, a six-yard run, to make it 28-10 at the end of three periods.

In the fourth, Dew scored for the second time, an 18-yard run with 5:00 left to play to make the final, 35-10.

For IUP, Wilson and Dew accounted for all the Indians' positive rushing yards, while freshman quarterback Brian Eyerman was 12-20 for 207 yards in his first career start.

The Huskies were led by Miller who was 20-35 for 243 yards and one interception with Mike Lelko catching seven passes for 75 yards and Matt Wilson five for 91.

Defensively, Dorian Thompson, getting his first start for Bloomsburg, made 12 tackles , 10 of them solo.

IUP improves to 2-1, while the Huskies fall to 2-2. Bloomsburg will visit Kutztown Saturday at 1 p.m.
