Julie Hess scored an unassisted goal 32 seconds into overtime to give Indiana(PA) University a 1-0 win over four-time defending national champion Bloomsburg University Wednesday. The win kept IUP undefeated for the year at 6-0, 2-0 in the PSAC. The Huskies, which had their 24-game winning streak snapped, fell to 4-1 for the year, 0-1 in the PSAC. The game was a battle of the top two teams in the most resent STX/National Field Coaches Association poll which had the Huskies at number one and IUP at number two. The Huskies have lost just two of their last 60 games, the other being the 1998 PSAC championship game. Bloomsburg hosts Mansfield Saturday at 1 p.m. |
