Fritz Named PSAC Field Hockey Player of the Week
BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University field hockey player Shanna Fritz (Benton/Benton) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Field Hockey Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 29th.
In two games last week, Fritz, a junior, scored three times and had four assists for 10 total points. Fritz opened her week with a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Indiana (PA). She followed that up with two goals and three assists in an 8-2 rout of Mansfield.
Fritz leads both the PSAC and the Huskies in scoring with 20 total points, goals with seven and assists with six.
The PSAC Player of the Week honor is the second time in Fritz's career she has earned the honor.
The Huskies, 8-0, 3-0 in the PSAC, face Shippensburg Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
