Three Huskies Named to Senior All-Star GameBLOOMSBURG— Three Bloomsburg University field hockey players have been selected to play in the 2002 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II North/South Senior All-Star game. The game will be played on Saturday Nov. 23, on the campus of the University of Louisville. Husky seniors who were named to the roster include Keri Beckhorn (Tunkhannock/Tunkhannock), who transferred to Bloomsburg from the University of Louisville. She has six goals and one assist on the year for the Huskies. While playing for Louisville Beckhorn posted 18 career goals and 16 assists in three years while being named to the All Mid-American Conference second team in 2000. Beckhorn has also been selected to the NFHCA All-Academic team twice. Goalie Trish Leitzel (Richfield/Middleburg) has also been named to the roster. Leitzel has posted a record of 18-0 in goal for the Huskies this season with 48 saves and a goals against average of 0.39. In her career Leitzel has posted 245 saves and 39.5 shutouts giving her the Bloomsburg career record in each category. She has also been named a three time second team All-American by the NFHCA. Brandy Weller (State College/State College), who has played four years for the Huskies coming off the bench, has also been named to the South Squad. Weller has provided great depth on the defense for the Huskies over the last four years.
