BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University field hockey player Shanna Fritz (Benton/Benton) has been named the PSAC Field Hockey Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 7th.

Fritz, a senior, has scored one goal in every game thus far, leading Bloomsburg to a 3-0 mark. She also added an assist in the win over Slippery Rock. Against Lock Haven, Fritz nailed the game-winner with only five seconds remaining in double overtime, breaking the scoreless tie and giving Bloomsburg its 33rd consecutive win dating back to the 2001 season.

The PSAC Player of the Week honor is the third time in Fritz's career that she has won the award.
