Bloomsburg Downs Mansfield in Field Hockey

MANSFIELD— The Bloomsburg University field hockey team beat Mansfield on Wednesday by a 2-0 score.

The Huskies got on the board 25:48 into the game on a goal by Maribeth Brozena off a penalty corner. The game remained that way until 18 minutes left to play when senior All-American Sharla Partlon scored off another penalty corner to give Bloomsburg some breathing room.

From there, the defense and goalie Tracey Hudak kept the Mounties off the board to earn the win.

Bloomsburg improves to 16-3, 10-3 in the PSAC, while Mansfield falls to 5-13, 3-10 in the PSAC.

The Huskies host Kutztown on Saturday at noon.
