Bloomsburg Blanks Slippery Rock in Field Hockey

SLIPPERY ROCK —Kristi Ney (Dauphin/Hamburg) scored two goals and had two assists to lead the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 10-0 win over Slippery Rock Wednesday afternoon.
Bloomsburg opened a 4-0 lead at halftime, then poured it on in the second half hitting the back of the cage six more times.
For Ney it was her second straight two-goal game. In addition, three other players, Kristy Kropa (Tunkhannock/Factoryville), Tara Bourke (Hopatcong, NJ/Pope John XXXIII), Morgan Wolf (Oley/Oley Valley), also scored twice in the game. Also scoring once and adding one assist were Sharla Partlon (Langhorne/Neshaminy) and Kelly Trevisan (Lancaster/Lancaster) with Alison Poff (Dallastown/Dallastown) getting three assists and Maribeth Brozena (Larksville/Wyoming Valley West) two assists.
Bloomsburg, 2-0, 1-0 PSAC, will host Mercyhurst College on Friday at 4 p.m.
