Bloomsburg Selected for NCAA Field Hockey Championships

BLOOMSBURG--The Bloomsburg University field hockey team has been selected as one of the six teams to play in the 2007 NCAA Division II Field Hockey championship tournament.

The Huskies, 18-4, will be the number two seed from the South Region and will face number three seed Kutztown University on Saturday, November 3rd at Sports Stadium starting at 7 p.m. The top seed in the region will be IUP.

In the North Region, the top seed is 2005 NCAA champion UMass-Lowell. Joining the River Hawks in the regional bracket are number two seed CW Post and Bentley, the number three seed. CW Post will host Bentley on Saturday in a quarterfinal game.

UMass-Lowell will serve as the host of the semi-finals and finals on Nov. 9th and 11th respectively. Game times will be announced at a later date.
