Kropa Named Field Hockey Player of the Week

BLOOMSBURG-- Bloomsburg University field hockey player Samantha Kropa (Tunkhannock/Lackawanna Trail) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) field hockey Player of the Week for her efforts in the team's first two games.

Kropa has already registered 11 points in those two games, both Bloomsburg victories. She scored four goals with an assist in the Huskies 13-1 win over Houghton in the opener and added another goal in Bloomsburg's 4-0 win over Bryant this past Saturday. Kropa has helped the Huskies extend their winning streak to 26 games, dating back to last year.

Kropa now has 40 career goals, tied for ninth all-time in school history, while her 88 career points are good for 11th all-time at Bloomsburg.

Bloomsburg returns to action on Wednesday when they host Slippery Rock at 4:00 p.m.
