Bloskey Scores Twice in Field Hockey Win

MANSFIELD--Maggey Bloskey (Danville/Danville) scored two goals and assisted on one other to lead the number one ranked Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 5-2 win over Mansfield University on Saturday afternoon.

After Mansfield took the early lead in the game with a goal in the third minute the Huskies tied the game at the 6:08 mark on a goal by senior Erin Hench (Loysville/West Perry). The Huskies took the lead for good when Sandy Anceravage (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) scored in the 13th minute with Bloskey getting the assist.

Bloomsburg stretched the lead to 3-1 five minutes later when Chelsea Due (Pen Argyl/Pen Argyl) scored a goal, then made it 4-1 when Bloskey scored her first goal of the game with Amanda Riley (Tannersville/Pocono Mountain East) getting the assist in the 20th minute.

In the second half Mansfield made it 4-2 scoring on a penalty stroke before Bloskey closed out the scoring with a goal in the 64th minute.

Bloomsburg, 14-1, will play at East Stroudsburg on Friday at 4 p.m.
