Bloomsburg's Amanda Riley Earns Second Straight PSAC Award

BLOOMSBURG - Bloomsburg University's Amanda Riley (Tannersville/Pocono Mountain East) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Field Hockey Athlete of the Week for the period ending October 18. This is her second straight PSAC weekly award.

Riley scored three goals and recorded a pair of assists for a total of eight points to help lead the Huskies to a 2-0 week with wins over No. 3-ranked East Stroudsburg and Catawba.

In a PSAC East showdown with second place East Stroudsburg on Friday, Riley netted a goal and recorded an assist to lead the Huskies to a 4-0 win, which clinched the PSAC East title for the Huskies. She then tallied two goals and added another assist in an 8-0 win over Catawba on Sunday to improve the Huskies' record to 16-1 overall. Riley leads the PSAC in both points (46) and goals (20).

Top-ranked Bloomsburg (16-1, 6-1) has wrapped up their home regular season schedule and will play at Millersville on Friday at 3:00 p.m. PSAC Championships are Friday and Saturday, October 30 and 31.
