Bloskey Leads Bloomsburg Field Hockey Past Seton Hill
GREENSBURG-Maggey Bloskey (Danville/Danville) scored two goals and three assists to power the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to an 8-1 win over Seton Hill University on Saturday.
The Huskies scored 2:09 into the game when Amanda Riley (Tannersville/Pocono Mountain East) hit the back of the cage off an assist from Breanne Tobin (Perkasie/Pennridge). Bloomsburg made it 2-0 about two and a half minutes later when Bloskey scored unassisted. Tobin would later score back to back goals and Riley would get her second goal with 6:13 left in the half to give the Huskies a 5-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, Sandy Anceravage (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) made it 6-0 with a goal off an assist from Erin Hench (Loysville/West Perry) with less than 24 minutes to play in the game. Bloskey scored her second goal of the game in the 57th minute, then assisted Lauren McGinley's (Wilkes-Barre/Coughlin) first goal of the season with 1:28 to play.
Along with Bloskey's big night, Riley and Tobin both scored two goals in the game as the Huskies improved to 5-1 on the season. Bloomsburg plays at Slippery Rock tomorrow at 1 p.m.
