Two Named All-American in Lacrosse

BLOOMSBURG—Two members of the Bloomsburg University lacrosse team have been named All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association and U.S. Lacrosse.

Named first team All-American was Katie Maclean (Lafayette, NJ/Shawnee), while earning second team honors was Yshonda Wisher (North Wales/North Penn).

Maclean emerged as one of the Huskies “go-to” player after missing much of last year with a knee injury. The senior rebounded this season with a team-high 39 goals, while finishing second in assists with 19 for a team-best 58 points. Her per game average of 4.46 points was third best in the PSAC this season. She was a first-team All-PSAC selection this year.

Wisher, who was also named the MVP for the Huskies, had a tremendous season for Bloomsburg. She finished with a goals against average of 9.87 and a save percentage of .590. Her save percentage is seventh best in NCAA Division II this season. In all she stopped 183 shots in 772 minutes played. Wisher, a first teamAll-PSAC selection, tied a school-record with 23 saves in a game with C.W. Post early in the year. She was first team All-American for the Huskies in 2000.

Bloomsburg finished the year 10-4 and were conference runner-ups during both the regular season and in the post-season.
