Bloomsburg Defeats Philadelphia in Lacrosse
BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team defeated Philadelphia University, 17-7, Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia. The Huskies are 3-1 on the year with the win.
The Huskies got five goals from Sheila Zilinski (Barto/Boyertown), while Katie O'Neill (Exton/Downingtown) scored four times and Georgia Carinci (Springmount/Conwell Egan) added two goals. Julie Minogue (Chalfont/C.B. West) added one goal and one assist, while Danielle Yeager (Delran, NJ/Delran) added a pair of goals for the victors. Colleen Dunn (Berwyn/Conestoga) and Megan Bell (Collegeville/Methacton) each had one goal, while Megan Pry (Downingtown/Downingtown) helped out with three assists.
In goal, the Huskies were led by Linda Schultz (Doylestown/C.B. West) who nine saves on the day.
Bloomsburg will play Saturday, April 5th at home against East Stroudsburg beginning at noon.
