The Huskies trailed by the Lancers by just two at halftime, but Longwood was able to shutdown Bloomsburg in the second half and limited the Huskies to just three goals.
Bloomsburg's Georgia Carinci (Springmount/Perkiomen Valley), who went into the game tied for the Huskies' all-time lead in points with 183, broke the record by scoring five times. Carinci broke the mark held by Kelly Kuthbert from 1986 to 1989.
In addition, Danielle Yeager (Delran, NJ/Delran) added three goals and two assists, while Meg Taylor (West Chester/West Chester) scored once and had one assist.
Longwood was led in scoring by Jen Shipp with four goals, while Ali Shafer added three goals with Carlee Ullery getting one goal and four assists.
