Bloomsburg Advances to PSAC Lacrosse Championship Game

SHIPPENSBURG —The Bloomsburg University lacrosse advanced to the title game of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) lacrosse championships with a 15-10 win over Shippensburg University Tuesday afternoon.

Bloomsburg will play at West Chester on Saturday at a time to be determined for the PSAC title. The Huskies are defending PSAC champions.

The Huskies jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the opening nine minutes of the game before the Lady Raiders could get on the board. After Shippensburg tied the game at 4-4, the Huskies scored four of the next five goals and led 8-7 at halftime.

In the second half, the Huskies scored the first four and the final three goals to pull away and win by five.

Senior Georgia Carinci (Springmount/Perkiomen Valley), the leading scorer in Division II, led the Huskies with five goals and two assists.
