Bloomsburg Falls to Stonehill in Lacrosse

HILTON HEAD, SC —The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team dropped a 10-6 decision to NCAA Division II defending champion Stonehill College on Friday in the final day of the team's trip to Hilton Head, SC.

With the score tied 4-4 at the break, the Huskies saw Stonehill score six times in the final 30 minutes of play and limiting Bloomsburg to just two second scores.

Bloomsburg was led in scoring by Sheila Zilinski with three goals, while Georgia Carinci netted two. Also, Danielle Yeager had one goal and one assist, while Meg Taylor and Allison McFatridge each scored once each. In goal, Linda Schultz had 11 saves for the Huskies.

Erin Acone led the Chieftains, 1-1, with three goals.

Bloomsburg, 0-2, will visit West Chester on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
